Kelly Nash Graduated in 1996 with a Diploma of Contemporary Dance under the tutelage of Alison East at the Performing Arts School. In 1997 performed throughout NZ in the show 'Mad Angels' by Shona McCullagh and was a lead role in Shona's film 'Hurtle'. In 1998 graduated from Unitec with a BPSA majoring in Dance. Founding member of Curve dance collective and Graduate dance company Kelly has produced, choreographed and co-directed within the shows 'Curve' (Hopetown Alpha), 'Five Girls called Doris'(St Davids andMaidment Theatre), 'Signed'(Herald Theatre) 'Here Today Gone Tommorow'(St Kevins Arcade) 'Solecism, a violation of good manners'(Mt Albert Hall) 'Passages' (Fringe Festival Wellington)and many others. Kelly is one of NZ leading dancers working with the wealth of talent in NZ, such as Douglas Wright, Michael Parmenter, Sean Curham, Shona McCullagh, Anne Dewey, Mary Jane O'reily, Daniel Belton, Morag Brownlie, Malia Johnston and companies Atamira, Curve and Ahi wai. Performed in Vienna as part of the Stadt Fest, and was a dancer in the Houston Grand Opera's production of Ariodante. Kelly Nash is a trained body practitioner, a qualified masseur, Reiki master, trainee of Contact care (A common sense approach to real ease) and Manaki Bodywork.
Class description A contemporary dance class influenced by Brian Carby, Douglas Wright, Contact Care, Martial Arts, Gymnastics and Ballet. Working to create a depth of connection inside and out, to have fun, enjoy dancing and to move with ease and strength. |
